1.Pilot licences require:
-
Written theory exams
- Practical flying tests
If a student doesn’t pass, they can’t get the licence.
2. Not enough flying hours
Every licence needs a minimum number of flying hours (like 40–50 hours or more).
If they don’t finish enough hours, they can’t qualify.
3. Medical issues
Pilots need a medical certificate.
Some issues that can stop a student:
- Poor eyesight (uncorrected)
- Heart or breathing problems
- Epilepsy
- Serious mental health conditions
4. Not enough money
Flying lessons are very expensive.
Some students stop halfway because they can’t pay the costs.
5. Fear or stress
Flying can be scary for some people.
If a student:
- Panics easily
- Gets motion sickness
- Becomes too stressed
…they might quit.
6. Poor communication or English skills
Pilots must use very clear radio communication.
If they struggle with that, they may fail.
7. Bad weather or scheduling delays
Sometimes students take too long to finish training due to weather or time issues, and they lose focus or quit.
8. Instructor reports unsafe flying
If a student consistently flies unsafely or doesn’t follow instructions, they may not be approved for a test.
9. Legal or background issues
Some licences require background checks.
Criminal problems can stop them.
